Speedball 4490 6 in nitrile fabric squeegee
The 6-inch Speedball 4490 has a 65-durometer nitrile blade and a wood handle.

What this tool is for
The 6-inch Speedball 4490 has a 65-durometer nitrile blade and a wood handle. Durometer is the blade's hardness. This relatively soft blade has a rounded edge, a profile Speedball uses to push more ink through the mesh for fabric printing. The short blade is a sensible size for a small textile mark such as a sleeve logo when it can span the complete design and move freely between the frame rails.

Fit and buying advice
Start with the widest inked part of the stencil. If it reaches close to the full blade width, compare the 8- or 10-inch version and make sure the wider tool still clears the frame. If your regular work is fine graphics on flat paper, compare a firm square-edged graphic squeegee. Its working edge is designed for a different surface and kind of ink deposit.

Questions about this tool
Would this work for a broad front print on a shirt?
Compare the design width with the blade length. A longer fabric blade is a better fit if this one cannot cover the design in a single pass.
Does the rounded edge help with fine text?
Its purpose here is to pass more ink for fabric coverage. For small lettering, also check the mesh and the ink, and compare a firmer edge if excess deposit is an issue.
Will the blade fit a narrow screen?
Measure the clear width where the blade must travel, then check the handle and your grip also have room to move.
